Frequently asked questions
Where do the prices come from?
From Opinet, the public fuel-price service of the Korea National Oil Corporation. Prices can differ from the pump depending on update timing, so please check the price on site before you fill up.
Is it free?
Yes — every core feature is free. If you'd rather not see ads, a one-time Pro purchase in the app removes them for good. No subscription.
Do I have to allow location access?
No. Location is only used for “Cheapest nearby” and the widgets. Without it you can simply pick a region, and your location is never stored on a server.
How do I add a widget?
Long-press an empty area of your home screen, open the widget list, find OilToday and choose a size. You can set the fuel type and region in the app's widget settings.
How often is it updated?
Widgets refresh automatically in the background. In the widget settings you can choose every 1, 2 or 4 hours; on Android, Pro also offers 15 or 30 minutes. On iPhone, iOS decides the exact refresh timing. The prices themselves follow Opinet's publishing schedule.
Can I use it outside Korea?
The app's interface is available in 25 languages, but the price data covers gas stations in South Korea only.
